The annual Sasquatch Blog Guess 50 is back a bit early this year. These are just my guesses based on some facts, some probability, a joke, and a lot of hunch. It is not the actual lineup!
Bon Iver, Deadmau5, Avett Brothers, MGMT, The Shins, Skrillex, At The Drive-In, Explosions in the Sky, Beirut, James Blake, Ghostland Observatory, Built to Spill, Girl Talk, Santigold, Yo La Tengo, St. Vincent, Pretty Lights, Low, Cage The Elephant, The Joy Formidable, The Head and the Heart, Portugal. The Man, Tune-Yards, M. Ward, Real Estate, Blitzen Trapper, Excision, Wild Flag, 12th Planet, The Civil Wars, Apparat, Girls, Akron/Family, Juniper, The Sheepdogs, WU LYF, The War On Drugs, Starfucker, Shearwater, Childish Gambino, EMA, Frank Turner, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Youth Lagoon, Alabama Shakes, Hey Rosetta, We Are Augustines, Sallie Ford & The Sound Outside, The Parson Red Heads, The Physics, Couer de Pirate, Dragon Boy Suede, Seattle Rock Orchestra (performing the Beatles)
I quit updating this list a week before the lineup was announced, due to the website malfunction confirming multiple bands. Therefore I wasn't able to add a couple bands who appeared highly likely a couple days before the lineup was announced (Mogwai, Feist, I Break Horses, Spiritualized, etc.).
Sasquatch 2016 Rumors:

a couple of hopefuls - sigur ros, the XX, ween, gaerth emery,
i read a lot about how some bands are touring in the NW in march, april and may and that there is no way they would head back up to the NW to play Sasquatch. If that is the case - there will be no one left. there are going to have to be a few that come back...no?
another hopeful -Franz Ferdinand
TV on the Radio -> RHCP Friday
Fleet Foxes -> Bon Iver Saturday
The Shins -> Tom Petty Sunday
Kraftwerk -> Deadmau5 Monday
Girls, Real Estate, King Krule, Destroyer, Caveman, Knife Party,
Health, TNAF, Cloud Nothings, Juniper, Bear in Heaven, Odd Future, Sharon Van Etten, St.Vincent, Rusko, Chiddy Bang, Twerps, ........
i would really hate if that were the actual lineup. my favorite thing about sassy is that the "big name" factor is relatively low compared to most festivals who just go out and buy the biggest bands they can. long live the small music festivals!
There won't be any Fleet Foxes; Robin Pecknold tweeted that they won't be playing any festivals this summer.
I can confirm St. Vincent...
I can also confirm that there will be more Coachella cross-overs than any year before. Though Sasquatch will dominate Coachella in terms of EDM.
add youth lagoon to that, hes my friend
Only predicting a few, mainly EDM: RHCP, The Shins, Bon Iver, Arctic Monkeys, Florence and the Machine, Pretty Lights, Knife Party, Avicii, Zeds Dead, Flux Pavillion and Doctor P, Zedd, Rusko
Friday is going to be all EDM with either Deadmau5, S.H.M. or Guetta headlining. probably mau5 in my opinion and with someone like avicii or porter robinson sub headlining
Okay, here is a bad attempt, but here goes nothing.
RHCP, Bon Iver, The Shins, Deadmau5, Childish Gambino (Coachella cross over), Flux Pavillion, Sigur Ros, MGMT (after there not so good album for redemption), miike snow, sharon van etten, and avicii.
@zach149, I've had Youth Lagoon (among others) on the list I've been compiling for a couple months, but was waiting to see if he announced another Seattle date after his Seattle show this weekend. Then I saw he is opening for Death Cab For Cutie in Seattle in early May, and figured he was out. I know there are exceptions to the radius clause, and this seems like as good of an exception as there is. In other words, I believe you, but I would be interested to hear what your friend has to say about the radius clause. There are very few exceptions each year.
Primus, Sigur Rios, Deadmau5, Fleet Foxes, Mumford, Vampire Weekend, Mgmt, Bon Iver, Kaskade, Pretty Lights, Avicii, The weeknd, miike snow, cloud nothings, M83, Neon Indian, St. Vincent, Drake, A$AP Rocky, Araabmuzik, The Civil Wars, Tune Yards,
Tons of EDM
Lots of folk.
Expect a big name headliner.
This is the blindest guess
@10:21pm Luckily Sasquatch is in the
Spring...It would be great to see them there.
I'm not making predictions just a few hopefuls
AT THE DRIVE-IN, Band of Horses, Interpol, The Shins, Real Estate, Neon Indian, Justice, Kaskade, M83, Rusko, to name a few...however just having ATDI would make going this year a lock for me
RHCP,Bon Iver, the shins, some form of jack white, crystal castles, mgmt, band of horses, the joy formidable, sharon van etten, explosions in the sky, M83, the naked and famous, empire of the sun, Black angels, vampire weekend, temper trap, passion pit,
Deadmau5, flux pavilion doctor p, Datsick, Nero, Knife party, feed me, zeds dead, girl talk.
I also say it every year but this is gonna be the year of Daft Punk! haha
Probably a lil far fetched but I see Sasquatch putting itself on the map as a premier festival this year, with ticket sales going way up the last couple of years money is becoming less of an issue, and who doesn't want to play at the gorge?? shits magical..
Sasquatch>Coachella
RADIOHEAD! They still have the whole month of May open.
Why does everyone keeping listing/wishing for MGMT. Their set there 2 years ago was not that great, they don't have any US tour dates so far in 2012, no new album, and are kinda played out IMHO.
im not the biggest mgmt fan myself but thought thier show two years ago was awesome, ive never seen the pit so crazy and everyone on the hill jumping in crazed excitement when they began to play time to pretend..
Why do some people think Justice could possibly play Sasquatch? This would be one of the top bands I'd want to see, but aren't they playing in Europe in late May then Primavera Sound on June 1st? Would they really come back to the US?
Justice won't be at Sasquatch.
Pretty Lights? People need to branch out.
I think MGMT had a pretty good set 2 years ago, lots of energy (almost too much) in the front pit. ATDI would be cool, but i would prefer if The Mars Volta played- they have a new album out in march. Chili peppers would be a good friday night headliner to kick it off. Bon Iver would be nice in there somewhere.
wish list: Other Lives, The Head and the Heart, Lanterns on the Lake, M83, Akron/Family, Atlas Sound, Portugal. the man, Heartless Bastards, Jack White in any form, Dr. John, Jimmy Cliff, Phish.
Hoping for the Bon Iver headliner, Here is a little design I did for a hoodie, thought I'd share it with you guys
http://www.redbubble.com/people/iamkingler/works/8361444-sasquatch-music-festival-3
Okay, I'm thinking three of the headliners are coming from this group: Bon Iver, Mumford and Sons, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beirut, Fleet Foxes, The Shins, Sigur Ros. I think the fourth will be EDM. IF we don't get an EDM, then I think all four are going to be from that group. Primus is really the only other band I could see as a headliner.
AS for an EDM headliner, I'd be down with Deadmau5. Just no MGMT. Please.
MGMT are awful live. Every band sounds a tad better at the Gorge.
RHCP have midwest dates on May 25th, 26th and 28th. I'd say they're OUT!!! Sorry, but that makes me happy!
RHCP just announced tour dates for May 25th, 26th and 28th in Missouri, Michigan and Illinois. Wouldn't that pretty much count them out?
^ Thank god.
Crisis averted.
so now the question is who the heck is going to headline? I was almost certain RHCP was to be the biggest name at the fest. Glad they're not but confused nonetheless...
Thank god for no RHCP.
I would say Kathleen Edwards, and the Sheepdogs are couple of good bets from Canada. Kathleen has a new album, has played Sasquatch before and is Justin Vernon's gf so it seems to make sense.
Otherwise, I don't really have a clue this year besides St. Vincent, and Wild Flag seeming like locks.
Any thoughts on MSTRKRFT's chances of being there?
MGMT are the greatest thing since the creation of The Gorge itself. The reason they have no new album yet is because they are working on it as we speak, they have been touring for 2 years straight. I'd say there is a 67% chance they will be at Sasquatch 2012, they better, my ticket purchase depends on it.
all my predictions for headliners are bein counted out... id say now theres a 90 percent chance edm will headline the mainstage, if its not deadmau5 ill be pist, pretty lights would be cool too, they killed it on the gorge mainstage in september
RCHP released tour schedule and I don't think they're coming. May 26 in Michigan and May 28 in Illinois
Hoping for Bon Iver and Sheepdogs. Mostly Sheepdogs actually!
Broken Bells, The XX, Band of horses, MGMT, Bon Iver, Deadmau5....and i have had a vision of radiohead, call me crazy but i have faith.. screw the key arena the gorge is ready for Radiohead, Adam Zacks always has somethin in the cards
WHAT ABOUT MSTRKRFT???
The xx definitely won't be at Sasquatch. They're booked for Primavera Sound which is at basically he same time. No way they make the transcontinental trip between the two festivals.
And I doubt MSTRKRFT would come back to back years ... It's not unheard of, but the bands that usually do it have a meteoric rise in popularity from one year to the next (a la Local Natives)
NO RHCP :(
will someone please knock me out and wake me up feb 2nd... or may 25th for that matter
GHOSTLAND OBSERVATORY!!!!
Das Racist played both Primavera Sound and Sasquatch last year. Actually usually there are a couple bands that make the journey. So DON'T count out the XX
kanye and sasquatch just doesn't sound good to my ears. I know he played there in 2005, but a lot has changed since then.
Kanye sounds fucking awesome to me. Anyway, Pretty lights is playing Wakarusa and Summer Camp Music Festival both memorial day weekend, does that cross him out? Seems plausible for him to make it Monday night late night set.
Dude is right. MGMT is pretty bad live.
And fuck Kanye West. Overrated.
how much will 4 day tickets be when they go on sale in feb?
i'll play.
My guess is that we might see one or two huge acts like Paul Mccartney, Morrissey, Stevie Wonder, and/or Kings of Leon. Black Keys and Radiohead might still be in the picture too.
As for medium acts, Bon Iver, Mumford & Sons, Band of Horses, Ryan Adams, The Head & The Heart, Dawes, & M. Ward, Cat Power.
Other Mentions: The Sheepdogs, Kathleen Edwards, J Roddy Walston & The Business, Allen Stone, Gary Clark Jr., Of Monsters & Men, Cat Power, U.S. Royalty
What exactly stops Roger Waters from playing Sasquatch on Friday (the 26th)? He is playing in Seattle on the 24th and Vancouver on the 26th. Perfect for a nice long late night Friday set at Sasquatch. His draw is big enough to play Seattle and Sasquatch back to back. Can you imagine the Wall??!
I think its a decent guess... Maybe I just love Pink Floyd?
Oops I mean Friday (the 25th).
Doit. Rogers wont play at sasquatch because of the Santa claus. Look it up.
yep Roger Waters is gonna be there the 25th
here is my wish list. no fact here.
If i was curating the festival this is who i would aim for!
M83,Bjork,Radiohead,Neon Indian, Yuck, Women, Atlas Sound, St. Vincent, Chrome Sparks, Beirut,Crystal Castles, Youth Lagoon, Washed Out, Real Estate, the XX, Tuneyards, Unknown Mortal Orchestra,Blockhead,Fleet Foxes,David Bazan, Deer Hoof,Zola Jesus,Cat Power,The Appleseed Cast,The Knife,Fever Ray,Iamiamwhoami,John Maus,North Highlands,Salem.
Animal Collective, or Panda Bear (would be nice but would be a total shock.)
DJ HSBND
Moscow, ID
I would love to see roger waters. when he did the dark side tour it was one of the best shows ive ever seen.
my wish list: st. vincent, RHCP, roger waters, childish gambino, Flaming lips (i know its a long shot since they played last year but man i would love that).
^ I would love to see the lips come back again, and this year maybe play some of their new jams! oh I also forgot a few names : S.C.U.M.,Blood Orange, Dum Dum Girls, Colleen Green, Heavy Hawaii, Reading Rainbow,David Lynch, and last but definitely not the least Phantogram.
Here's a bit of my wish/prediction list:
The Naked & Famous, We are Augustines, At the Drive In, Beirut, Childish Gambino, the War on Drugs and some form of Jack White
Roger Waters/Bon Iver/The XX/DeadMau5/MIA/Feist/M. Ward/St Vincent/Jeff Mangum/The Black Angels.
Whoever said Florence and the Machine is off. She is touring in New Zealand that weekend.
If Kanye plays at all I won't be attending the festival. That would be sickening. Might as well get Chris Brown too.
FIRST AID KIT!!!
Roger Waters won't be on the lineup. His stage set up is massive, and wouldn't fit on the Sasquatch main stage without redesigning it, and that doesn't make a lot of sense for a one off show.
Also, the dude is old, three shows in three nights is a lot to ask out of the geezer. He isn't doing three nights in a row once on his current tour. Even when he is playing the same venue 3+ times, he has off nights scheduled.
You're probably right, just wishful thinking on my part. And yeah his stage is massive!!
This is just the least leaked/rumored sasquatch year I can ever remember. I'm both super excited and extremely worried.
FInger crossed for Black Angels. Those guys are serious psychedelic rock and roll. Hopefully there show is late in day when sun is setting too
I kind of want to see Bloc Party and/or Ghostland Observatory!!
Bjork/The Shins/Bon Iver/Pulp/ The Roots/Girl Talk/Air/DJ Shadow/At the Drive-In/Mazzy Star/ tUnE-yArDs/Refused/Black Star/Feedtime/WU LYF/ The Head and the Heart/St Vincent/The Rapture/Childish Gambino/Bassnectar/Theophilus London/M Ward/Pretty Lights/Flying Lotus/AWOLNATION/Nada Surf/ The Sheepdogs/AVICII/SBTRK/Junip/Craig Finn/Brendan Benson/ We Were Promised Jetpacks/Macklemore and Ryan Lewis/Girls/Dawes/Group Love/ Active Child/Unknown Mortal Orchestra/ Wild Flag/Washed Out/Dum Dum Girls/Shabazz Palaces/Japandroids/Memory House/Grace Potter and the Nocturnals/Kathleen Edwards/Yuck/The Beets/ The Lumineers/Fergus & Geronimo/Nikki & the Dove/Blue Scholars/ Poor Moon/ Allen Stone/ Jesse Sykes and the Sweet Hereafter/Grynch/ My Goodness/ Truckasaurus/ Whalebones/ Mad Rad/ Temp Score/Sol/Fatal Lucciauno/Don’t Talk to the Cops/Champagne Champagne/ Star Anna and the Laughing Dogs/Fresh Espresso/Lemolo/ Beat Connection/ Ravenna Woods/Metal Chocolates/ Hey Marseilles/ OC Notes/Thee Satisfaction/ Seapony/ The Seattle Rock Orchestra performs Muse/Youth Lagoon/The Physics/Pickwick/ Scribes/Katie Kate/ Mash Hall/Fly Moon Royalty/ Dyme Def/ Goldfinch/ Bryan John Appleby /Young Hines/Kelli Schaefer
the post directly above definitely looks like the most believable one yet. Please let SBTRKT, ATDI, Refused and Pulp actually be there.
Aww, you took out the joke band! I was hoping all your readers would see them listed, wonder who the hell they were, go YouTube 'em and then there'd be this sudden resurgence in fans all because of your blog.
Looks like a pretty week lineup.
Tragically Hip anyone? https://twitter.com/#!/thehipdotcom/status/157517798355120128
People still care about Ghostland Observatory?
I wouldn't completely rule out Roger Waters. He had a massive stage set when I saw him at Coachella. The three nights in a row does make it less likely but not impossible by any means. I saw Roger Waters a few months ago on this tour and yes he's old but the dude had some serious energy. Plus a lot of it took place behind the wall they built so he could take it easy on a lot of songs.
Roger Waters/Bon Iver/The XX/DeadMau5/The Shins/MIA/Vampire Weekend/Feist/M. Ward/St Vincent/Jeff Mangum/Sleigh Bells/Alexander/Group Love/The Black Angels/Conor Oberst and The Mystic Valley Band/Gillian Welch/First Aid Kit/The Felice Brothers/Neon Indian
The Cranberries, maybe, as come back kids? First album in ten years is being released in February, and they've got a big empty slot in their tour schedule for May.
What exactly is the santa clause? Or is it a radius clause?
The Santa Clause is a general rule a lot of use in determining if a band is more or less likely to play the festival. If you've spent the last several years studying touring trends of the bands who end up on the Sasquatch lineup (like I have), you have a much better understanding of the Santa Clause. If you are new to the game, you might think Santa Clause doesn't exist, but that's not very imaginative. I'll try to briefly explain it. Have you noticed Sasquatch never books hardcore punk or heavy metal bands? Have you noticed Sasquatch always books sensitive indie bands? This is a trend that should continue this year, and is the fundamental basis of the Santa Clause. It's about which bands are naughty, and which bands are nice.
Thank you. And this relates to them playing in Seattle a month or two before too?
2 years ago though they booked the Murder City Devils...then again we saw what kind of drunken hatred rant that led to.
WHY DID THE NAKED AND FAMOUS GET TAKEN OFF OF THIS PREDICTION. I'M GOING TO CRY
Here is why: http://showboxonline.com/eventdetail.php?id=34653
Sodo fuckin' everything up
that Murder City Devils rant (and set) was fucking awesome. He was calling out all of the festival douches, and all of the homophobes, and it was hilarious to watch and also still meaningful. I'm sorry if you felt hated (but if you did it might mean that you're a homophobe because you were offended).
From what I have seen as far as tour date positions, likeliness, and hunch.
Bon Iver, MGMT, Knife Party, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, arctic monkeys, WU LYF, Beirut, Portugal. The Man, Diplo, Gogol Bordello, AWOLNATION, Flux Pavillion, Born Gold, Foxy Shazam, Whalebones, Mad Rad, Chromeo, Death Grips, Hot Chip.
I would really love to see Radiohead, Animal Collective, Man Man, Das Racist, xx, Modest Mouse, or some OFWGKTA there though...
Sorry McKenna, being naked is naughty. The Naked and Famous are out because of the Santa Clause.
how many days does the proximity clause span??
How does Santa Clause account for NIN having played?
NIN is easy: Naughty Is Nice!
wtf is the Santa Clause?
Whoever that Anon person was on Jan 23rd definitely proposed a very believable and solid lineup. Pulp would be excellent.
I'm still holding out hope for Portishead as a headliner. As far as small groups go, I'd love to see Death Grips get a spot on the bill somewhere.
I assume you include F***ed Up on the naughty list, then?
Bjork/Bon Iver/Fleet Foxes/The Shins/Regina Spektor/Animal Collective/Arcade Fire/m83/Girl Talk/Beirut/La Roux/the xx/Arctic Monkeys/Destroyer/Neon Indian/Unknown Mortal Orchestra/Youth Lagoon/St. Vincent/tuneyards/Azealia Banks/Explosions in the Sky/Deadmau5/Rusko/Four Tet/Junip/Nada Surf/The Physics
Also why is everyone so convinced MGMT will be there?
MGMT? The band with no new album and no tour?
Y'all are dumb.
Also, Arcade Fire is done with touring for a while.
They, uh, said so themselves.
Would MGMT playing Lollapalooza Chile and Lollapalooza Brazil in April with no new album still make all of us dumb?
Plus, Santa Clause loves "Kids."
Too bad the rest of us are sick of "Kids"
So, every band that plays in Brazil and Chile are likely for Sasquatch?
Awesome.
MGMT are terrible live anyway. Dude can't sing.
Hahaha, someone just got defensive for not knowing MGMT are indeed playing shows. Ya'll dumb dude, so dumb.
Anyone else hoping to see Frank Ocean or the Weeknd on the line-up?
M.I.A., maybe? Hopefully!
http://www.nme.com/news/mia/61645
"'Bad Girls' is the first track to be taken from the singer's as yet untitled fourth album, which is due for release later this year. It is MIA's first album for new label Mercury Records after she left XL Recordings at the completion of her contract."
Tyler the Creator Dammit!
Gotye? His last listed tour dates are on the west coast...
I hate to be a synic, but is anybody else remotely concerned that nothing has been leaked because Sasqutch has nobody worth leaking on the bill? I like a lot of these predictions, but it seems every "headliner" has been nixed for one reason or another. Let alone the recent string of "santa clause" exclusions on quality smaller acts. What are we left with? A festival full of quality smaller acts? Great. Or a last minute move to ensure a sell out because Sasquatch didn't land anyone worth getting? If so maybe the Black Eyed Peas are still available. Here's to being wrong...
Radiohead (highly unlikely I know but they don't have anything booked after Coachella until their show in Rome on June 30)/Bon Iver/Cranberries (new record out in February)/Deadmau5.
Don't have time to put the rest so thats my guess as headliners
Bassnectar is playing in Seattle around the middle of May and thats the last on show mentioned.....maybe a good prediction for sasquatch??
Bassnectar, Gotye, and Radiohead are on Santa's naughty list.
Yeah no headliners even hinted at, leaked or really an obvious choice.. not a good sign..
Good sign if you ask me.
Except Bon Iver.
Hey guys, none of the headliners have leaked yet. That MUST mean the headliners are going to be sub-par.
HUHHOOOO DERP.
Roger Waters/David Lynch/The Cure/Bon Iver
i remember 2010 being a year where everyone complained about the line up constantly before the festival and in my opinion it ended up being the best sasquatch ive ever been to.. granted ive only been goin since 09,
ive also heard sasquatch has always had more success in an even year, im sure 2012 will be amazing no matter what big names are on the line up
What name leaked last year? The Foo Fighters? Wow, generic bro rock.
No leaks are a good thing.
@anon 5:34, I was going to reply that Sasquatch even year thing is a total load of crap until I looked at the past lineups and realized it isn't a total load of crap. But still, it has no bearing on the strength of this year's lineup.
Besides, 2005 had arguably the greatest main stage lineup of any U.S. festival, Arcade Fire/Kanye West/Wilco/Modest Mouse/Pixies.
Kanye West would be sweet this year
correct me if I am wrong... but didn't Bassnecter play last year. as a general rule I agree that sasquatch pays attention to the "Santa Claus", but not always.
Praying for Beirut or Explosions in the Sky. It'd be sick to see some Gogol Bordello there too. Bon Iver would please me but wouldn't fulfill my desire to jump around like a freak. Isn't there usually some major Hip-Hop groups? What are the chances of seeing Macklemore? Or Das Racist again? What about electronic music?
Think Yeah Yeah Yeahs have a chance?
Hey that Anonymously posted line-up from January 23, 4:22pm seems REAALLLY detailed and legit... can anyone rule out a bunch of bands on it? Anyone else suspicious it's a leak?
@Cowboy
I Hope So
idk if that post on jan 23 @4:22 is a leak because of too many bands from last year, would be sick if it was tho
I doubt it's a leak. I wouldn't call it any more 'detailed' than any of the other wish lists that people are posting here.
That being said, the author /did/ type up 89 acts rather than the requested 50.
So I'm clearly not up to speed, but what is the "santa clause"?
Bon Iver label mates Peter Wolf Crier on west coast tour mid to late April without a stop in Seattle. Makes sense to me...
What are the chances of seeing Explosions in the Sky The Paper Kites, Grouplove, or Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeros?
Santa Claus is a reference to "the reason" why we won't see a band at Sasquatch, either because they are playing other venues, playin localy around the same time or have other reasons not to be there.
Edward Sharp doesn't play anoymore no? But he has brought the entire band to Sasquatch before.
I'm still hoping for RHCP as I know they filled dates for one day same as Sasq2012 but they haven't releaesed dates for the entire NW
Why are so few thinking outside the box with headliner predictions?
Most of the popular headliner predictions have been all but counted out with tour dates being released (ie RHCP, Radiohead, Black Keys)
Why do most assume sub headliners will be pushed into headlining spaces?
One, Two or more of the headliners are hopefully not even on the radar at this point, would be a nice surprise. Most of the aforementioned suggestions are very underwhelming, so here is to hoping we get some quality acts none of us have even thought of yet!
So on that note here are some wild predictions I hope will come true!
-Trent Reznor(Hopeflly NIN but more likely How to Destroy Angels)
-Tom Petty-Saw someone else throw this one-props for believing
-Paul Simon- because it would be cool
-Soungarden on the 25th - in the netherlands on the 27th, nothing before
-Queens of the Stone Age-new album this year-I realize they may only be a headliner in my mind
The Killers-Please NO-just suggesting as possible
Linkin Park-see entry above
Offspring-see above two entries
Smashing Pumpkins-by now you must have noted this list is in order of preferance
Subs
Deftones, The Cult, Mars Volta, Justin Townes Earle, The Hives
Canadian
tHE hIP, Rural Alberta Advantage, and of course the sheepdogs..PLEASE NO BILLY TALENT... EVER...ANYWHERE...AGAIN
well. the red hot chili peppers have an entire north american tour in the works. and if you look at the dates during memorial day weekend...they have every day scheduled aside from sunday the 27th.......ironic enough, the last time they played the gorge (i believe) was the 27th of May, 1999. and i had a dream they were one of the headlining bands last night. so there you have it. haha
@anon 1:09, quit filling up the comments with nonsense of the Santa Clause being about anything other than who is naughty and who is nice. I have yet to pound this joke into the ground to the fullest extent. Slayer is naughty, Bon Iver is nice, there you have it.
Sigur Ros
one can dream...
MGMT would be the laziest booking ever.
Everyone wanting Roger Waters or Tom Petty is dumb. AZ has never booked a classic rock act for Sasquatch! Also, expect something out of left field as AZ likes to take risks, be a trend setter and let the festival march to the beat of its own drum. There'll likely be an underwhelming headliner or two thrown in there like The Shins or Bon Iver just because that's how Sasquatch rolls. Don't be surprised to see Built to Spill as a headliner and some electronic act as a headliner either. I think The Roots, Bjork & possibly RHCP (they can be flown in) sound about right with maybe Portishead or Deadmaou5 as an electronic headliner one night.
What are the odds that Agnes Obel plays? I think her tour ends in Europe in April?
lol at Built to Spill headlining ANYTHING.
Little Dragon.
Regarding the fake lineup posted earlier, it's a good one, whoever created it spent a lot of time making sure there were no touring conflicts. However, anyone paying attention can come up with 100 bands who don't have scheduling conflicts.
I will say it's fake because there are a couple bands not listed that will be there, and a couple bands listed that would be lucky to sell 20 tickets locally, and that's assuming they have a large family. The easist ways to spot fakes is checking the billing order, which is very difficult to get right. There are several bands listed way too high or low in the order to be accurate. Lineups leaked this early are never legit anyway.
80% chance a nearly identical lineup appears on Travis Hays' website shortly (Guerilla Candy). He always makes a lineup guess, and it's usually of that length, and usually contains a bunch of bands you've never heard of who won't be there. His website is linked on the right side of the main page of this blog, so check it out.
How is my aim random anon, aka Travis?
I would like to say that I think the line up list from Jan 23rd is probably some sort of leak because not only does it have a strange number of bands that all seem very possible to be at Sasquatch, but the Seattle Rock Orchestra in there playing Muse which seems like a very very odd guess seeing as how they play many different bands musics.
That being said, I mostly hope the line up is real. Seeing Washed Out would be awesome. I hope that maybe MAYBE Franz Ferdinand will be there(that or the Killers but I bet that both of those bands are extremely unlikely) Also I really think that the Red Hot Chili Peppers will be there because not only are they not playing Coachella, but they don't have a tour date up here, and my friend who has a connection to a sound guy for the RHCP says they originally were going to have a tour date at Key Arena on the 30th of March or something, but they ended up not booking it for some reason, so maybe they'll be at sasquatch? I'd love to see them there.
I hope the one on the 23rd is not the leak....I really hope.
NIRVANA
Aphex Twin would murder.

We need to Party Hard at Sasquatch! Andrew WK is touring again with a full band!
Just talked to a guy who partied with the road crew from Tool when they were in Texas who said Tool will be touring and playing a major festival. Tool for loud friday!
I would be down to see Tool at the Gorge. Most people say they killed it at coachella last time. Not the same but for Loud Friday I would love either At The Drive In, My Bloody Valentine, or A Place to Bury Strangers
Id also love to see big d and the kids table.
I dont know what sasquatch is like for ska though.
I'm not a Tool fan, but it would be cool as hell to see them at the Gorge.
@ know ID yuh
HA! Thanks for that. I'm kinda glad that may not be the actual line-up, although I bet there will be a ton of those bands on the line-up. I will look into this Guerrilla Candy Travis fellow...
And can everyone me why Radiohead has been ruled out? Because they're playing Key Arena? A man can dream. Missed them on their previous Gorge date and need to see them there before I die.
Kraftwerk is playing Ultra in March...
So, they'll be in the country...
Jack White. That is all.
^ White Stripes or GTFO.
^^they're no longer a band...
THEN GTFO!
Wild Flag will be there. I emailed their booking agent:

This is the Wild Flag confirmation link:

Sorry, the direct link isn't showing up correctly. One last try (this one posted on the Sasquatch boards):

maybe Portlandia will have a comedy set there too then?
Thanks, but Wild Flag was the first rumored band on this blog two months ago. Old news.
Why is Bon Iver suddenly in the rumored section? Do you have a semi-legitimate piece of evidence or just figured it was probably a lock now?
Bon Iver and starfucker added. I can dig it! Bon Iver is the tits!
whats the likeliness of yo la tengo being there?
Why is Feist not on the list? The entire month of may for her is fully open, and she's playing some other festivals as well. I saw her in Calgary in December and she was AMAZING. I'd love to see her again.

CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT I FOUND?
Justin Vernon just co-produced an album with/is rumored to be dating Kathleen Edwards. She plays Seattle on April 3, and her tour ends on April 28. I think it's reasonable to guess that both she and her backup vocalist/opening act, Hannah Georgas, may play if Bon Iver does.

WHAT IN GODS NAME IS THAT
The more numbers you add at the end, the more acts show up! Jeez!
so wtf? that page was on the MAIN site and it said GIRL TALK and LANA DEL REY under the MAY 25TH heading.... is the page gone now?

lol sasquatch is a animal not a festival. roflz
That website isn't real. It's an error from past years and Internet screw ups. Fake and gay.

Anonymous at 12:28 is amazing. Thank you sooooo much. This made my day. I hope this is Real.
That anon list with journey actually seems legit. I found a website that has a similar prediction list
That list is bullshit. I would kill myself with an iron if that were true.
seems legit with Elvis, Paul, and Bon Iver all on one day? Plus it lost its validity when they kicked off with Journey
"appart."
It's Apparat.
^ I hope.
LMFAO, adele, and kanye???
please let this be fake....
was the guy that posted the link to this thing part of sasquatch?
LMFAO at LMFAO ever, EVER being there.
you dummies, of course it is fake! DOY
You guys make me sad. I'm guessing a lot of you haven't actually listened to a lot of live MGMT performances? They are AMAZING live. Their sound has improved a whole lot even since 2010. They are working on their 3rd album now but they are doing festivals in South America in March/April so why not Sasquatch? Yeah it's pretty unlikely but it would be the greatest thing ever. And by the way CONGRATULATIONS WAS A GREAT ALBUM. And they too are tired of Kids. But when 3/4 of the crowd is just being rude and annoying because they aren't playing their hits, it gets hard.
I've seen them more than once. Awful live. Anyone who disagrees probably has their retarded head dress on a little too tight.
The War on Drugs confirmed via their booking agent.
How do we know sigur ros is out exactly?
^ We don't.
New album in the Spring/Summer though. So it would make sense.
Sigur Ros is confirmed out
RHCP or selling my ticket!
enjoy selling your ticket
RHCP LUL
I have to pitch in as well. I really love MGMT's live show. If you're only there to hear Kids, TTP and Electric Feel, then yeah you'll probably be disappointed. But if you come open minded and really are there for the music it's amazing. Seen them twice & they were amazing each time. One of the best concerts I've been to.
everyone seems pretty confident on MGMT...
why hasn't anyone really mentioned one of those bands completely unexpected that could headline...killers or strokes or something alone those lines.
and at this point it's pretty obvious RHCP and Radiohead won't be coming, surprised it's even being considered an option at this point
Well I have no idea who's gonna play. I am only a 1 year Sasquatch vet. That being said I really want Grace Potter & the Nocturnals to play. They're playing at Coachella and are not doing anyhting around the time of Sasquatch! You should take a listen, they're amazing. First Aid Kit is also awesome! Flux would be epic too!
I hope there is some kinda of overlap between Coachella & Sasquatch! I think Coachella has a solid lineup
I'm pretty sure we all know that Daft Punk is gonna be there. That's why no one is saying it right? Because everyone already knows...
Daft Punk would be great...I just am not sure of who would be most likely to go. It could be fucking anyone lol
If you look at the "leak" that's supposedly fake from Jan. 23 by this Guerrilla Candy fellow and compare it to the "leak" from the Sasquatch website glitch and you've got some pretty solid names if you put faith in the glitch leak being legit. So seems like more weight should be given to the leak from Jan. 23, fake or not. How else can the matching of the smaller names and some of the bigger names, i.e. The Shins, be explained. But I guess it doesn't really matter since all will be revealed in a few days.
anyone can post a list, just because it is more than 50 bands and has some esoteric bands and the shins (who everyone in the world is assuming will be there being from the northwest and having a new album out in march) it wouldn't take more than fifteen minutes to create a realistic list like the jan.23 post....I don't know how anyone every thought it was the real thing
