And We're Back!

Here we go! Presale for the 2016 Sasquatch Music Festival has officially begun, and we're already starting to pick up some hints as to who might be playing this year. While this is all speculation, chances are pretty high that we'll be seeing the majority of the artists predicted here on the lineup, which is expected to be released shortly before the general sale date on January 15th. Will this be the year we finally get Radiohead? Will Animal Collective end up playing a super trippy late night set on the Bigfoot? Who knows! Anything is possible if you believe in the Sasquatch magic! If you have any evidence that a certain artist might be playing the festival, feel free to share in the comments!

Sleater-Kinney added to Friday!

After weeks of speculation that an additional headliner would be added to the the lineup, local NW legends Sleater-Kinney are officially set to play Sasquatch 2015 as Friday's new headliner! While I'm a little disappointed that it wasn't Prince or Bjork, I think this a really nice get for the festival. Just a few more weeks, everyone!

Sasquatch 2015!

Happy New Year, everyone! It's Sasquatch rumor season once again, and with less than a month until the lineup drops we're starting to get a pretty good idea of who might be playing! I'll be frequently updating the rumors section with the artists that are most likely going to play Sasquatch 2015. We're definitely going to have some overlap from other festivals like Coachella and Governor's Ball, so expect to see some of those names on the lineup when it's released in early February!

Sasquatch 2014 July Weekend Cancelled

Welp. This is a huge bummer, but after days of rumors spreading around, Sasquatch 2014's July weekend has officially been cancelled due to low ticket sales. This is a huge letdown for me since I thought that July's lineup was the better of the two. I guess that there just weren't enough bands to bring in the college bros.

Official statement from Jeff Trisler, President of Live Nation:

"The Sasquatch! community has spoken. They continue to support the traditional Memorial Day Weekend with great enthusiasm. Unfortunately, the second weekend was not embraced. We felt it was better to cancel the new event now and give everyone time to make alternative plans for the Fourth of July weekend. Going forward, Sasquatch! Musical Festival will be at the Gorge Amphitheatre on the weekends the fans want: Memorial Day Weekend only."

Ticket sales must have been REALLY bad to cancel the event entirely, which is surprising to me because that July lineup was seriously killer. I'm really bummed that Kraftwerk 3D won't be happening at the Gorge now.

It looks like some of the bands that were set to play at the Gorge on 4th of July weekend will now be relocating to Seattle. I'll be updating the list with each new date announced.

Robyn & Royksopp: 6/26 at Marymoor Park
Kraftwerk: 7/1 at the Paramount Theater
Fuck Buttons: 7/1 at The Crocodile
New Order: 7/6 at the Paramount Theater
