First Sasquatch! Music Festival 2009 Post!!!

Happy New Year Everyone! I finally got my first solid rumor for Sasquatch! '09 and that is that the Kings of Leon will be playing. I read it on the Facebook page for Sasquatch!, which Uli stated that the End (radio station KNDD 107.7) announced that Kings of Leon would be playing. I wrote Harms (radio DJ Andrew Harms from The End) and this is what he had to say:

"nothing is confirmed until the "official" announcement, which is still months away however, i have heard from a couple solid places that KOL is likely hope this helps!"

-andrew harms

There you have it folks! The first rumor for Sasquatch! 2009. Hopefully there will be more in the near future. Until then take care and keep your ear to the ground for more info!

Are the dates for the 2009 Sasquatch! festival even set yet?

Anonymous said...

Yes! This comment marks my descent into Sasquatch rumor obsession. It came a little early this year...

No, the dates are not set yet, last year the dates were set on February 11th and February 25th for the lineup.

The Sun Kilmoon website shows the date on their tour schedule

Dustin, can you set up a rumor post? I started compiling a list of likely bands for this year (it is already 25 bands strong)... would be cool to discuss it with others...

Saw that My Bloody Valentine will be playing Coachella. Any news on whether they will be coming up to play Sasquatch as well?

Hello all, I just subscribed to this blog but I have been reading it for a couple weeks or so. Anyways, I got an unofficial word from a MySpace message from the band Bishop Allen that they maybe on the line up for the last day of Sasquatch

During a Q&A with Colin Meloy on twitter, I asked "is there a chance that you'll be at Sasquatch?" His response was "yes". Since I didn't officially ask "WILL you be at Sasquatch?" I'd still consider it rumor. But it seems like the Decemberists' are going to be on board!

Thanks Missy! Apparently they have a date on May 21st in Eugene, so I would say it is a very strong rumor indeed!

nick, send me a link or quote or something and I will add Bishop Allen as a rumor. Thanks for the heads up!

I have a feeling Flight of the Conchords will be playing again this year because anyone playing at Sasquatch has to sign something that says they wont play in the area within two weeks of it. F.O.T.C. is playing in Seattle May 11th which is basically just a little more then 2 weeks before Sasquatch... anyone think this is a possibility? Also, I WISH THE CuRE WAS PLAYING AGAIN!!!! That was the most amazing show ever!
