Aside from the Cure's early announcement for Sasquatch 08, in which they confirmed a Seattle make up show originally near Halloween of 07, the Sasquatch festival has typically had very few confirmed acts prior to the lineup release. At this time last year, the festival had only two, PB&J (who canceled), and Sun Kill Moon.
This year, Pavement became the second early confirmation, and because their reunion is a huge draw, tickets went on sale immediately. Now, we already have our third confirmation, Vetiver, adding to Neon Indian and Pavement. So although the rumor mill is a bit slow with the lineup announcement roughly a month away, we will have much to talk about in the next two months. This is typically the time of year acts announce their spring/summer tours, so the rumors will be in full force in the next couple weeks.

A Couple of Sasquatch! 2010 Updates...
Sorry I am a little behind on this info... The new name for the Dance Tent is the Rumpus Room, what do you think about that? I suggested Mogwai and Gremlin Tent, which stuck with the mythical beast theme. Oh well...
...Also, over at the official site they have been having a pick your favorite Pavement song, which is cool, but the real news is that they also made it official that Pavement will be at Sasquatch! 2010...
...In other news they have extended the 3 day discounted passes to February 16th (the day the lineup is going to be announced). So go over to the Official Website and buy your tickets!

Once a year, mythical beasts appear in the wilds of The Gorge as the stage names at the Sasquatch! Festival: Sasquatch, Wookie, Yeti and…Comedy/Dance Tent? Hold on a second. We can do better than that! Let’s bring the Comedy/Dance Tent into the fold and give it a name fitting for Sasquatch! Festival 2010.
Email us at sasquatchfest@gmail.com with your suggestion for the new Comedy/Dance Tent name, and we’ll choose one winner to receive:
- a pair of 3 day festival passes for the ‘10 festival
- a weekend camping pass for 1 vehicle
- a glow-in-the-dark Pixies poster signed by all the members
Oh yeah, and on top of all that, you’ll have named a stage at your favorite festival. Not many people get to say that…so give it a shot!

We’re happy to announce the following additions to this year’s lineup:
The Henry Clay People: Sunday on the Yeti Stage from 2:10pm - 2:55pm
Deerhoof: Monday on the Mainstage from 12:55 pm - 1:35 pm
Natasha Leggero: Monday in the Comedy Tent from 4:30 pm - 5:15 pm
That said, as we know, things can happen, and due to unforeseeable conflicts, this year’s festival will no longer include Japandroids, Mugison, and Demetri Martin.
See you in 18 days!
