Sasquatch! 2010 Lineup!

Wow! This is probably the most diverse, deep lineup ever for Sasquatch! It is especially awesome that instead of Adam Zacks going for huge (e.g. NIN, Jane's Addiction, Beastie Boys, Coldplay etc.), he went for unique and/or interesting (e.g. Ween, Massive Attack, Public Enemy etc.). There will be a lot of musical exploration over the next two and a half months. Who are you most excited to see? Or discover?

  2. I am excited to return to the gorge after a year of abscence. No mega-big headliners that most summer fests employ but a fanstatically amazing group of the best artists around right now! I love it.
do you think it will be a smaller festival because of the lack of major headliner. Ya, my morning jacket, public enemy, massive attack, pavement- all big. But I feel artists like NIN, Kanye West etc. brought a large group of people who would have otherwise not trekked to the gorge and become part of the 3 days experience. What do you think?

  3. I think generally the people that are drawn to the gorge for big names like that piss off people who think of themselves as true sasquatchers. or something. When people ask me what kind of bands play at sasquatch i tell them it focuses on NW bands and indie rock sort of stuff for the most part--i think this is a general conception of sasquatch. This lineup is more true to that description than anything from the past.
On another note, livenation emailed me a list of bands separated by days and they have pavement leading into massive attack. is Ween really headlining the last day? i can't see that

  9. Umm...wow. that day by day schedule makes me think a new headliner will be added for Monday. No way is Ween headlining that last day. They are only about as big as LCD Soundsystem (in terms of what they gross per-night), and they are 3rd billed on the 1st night...

  12. Dude Ween's live show is one of the greatest on the planet. Ween is the best Monday night headliner they've had in... forever. It's going to be more kickass than the Flaming Lips.
